Indian friends and friends of India

Finnish food and Indian food at Pirjo and Eric's party last Saturday, the 29th of October. There were Finns, Indians and Polish people on the guest list and Eric's French dad.

Charandeep, Amrita and little Noor.

En tiedä mikä tämä intialaisten tekemä jälkiruoka oli mutta se oli HYVÄÄ ! I'd like to have the recipe. Muistutti hiukan suomalaisia munkkeja.

The end of the party. Noor getting ready to go home.

But... Look at this next picture. That was taken yesterday, on the 4th of November when Pirjo, Eric and myself visited Noor and his mum and dad in their home.

Yay! Indian food again. I don't know if it really was heavenly, but it certainly tasted like that to me. I was famished after work so you can imagine what a pleasure it was to eat. Only towards the end did I begin to notice that the food was rather spicy, hah hah, but by then I was getting used to it.

Eric, Amrita and Pirjo.

Charandeep and Noor, father and son, aren't they pretty? I asked questions about the turban tradition. That is a home turban, rather "rock 'n' roll", I thought. It has a knot at the back. I tried to learn some words of hindi, let's see if I can remember them... Kotta = a dog, bille = a cat, hathi = an elephant, kahaa = where?

  1. Rita,

Wow, best foods and best friends! That's an interesting life...;~D
In Malaysia have to type of Indians, one is Tamil and the other like your friend here we called them Bengali. They all celebrated Deepavali and some celebrate Christmas if they are Christian. Indian foods is hot and spicy and we all here love it very much and already immune! haha ;~D

  6. Onpas siinä herkkua kerrakseen. Ötöpesässäkin tykätään suuresti intialaisesta ruoasta, lämmittää erityisen mukavasti syksyn viileydessä....
